Transformer transport

The Plzeň-based company ETD Transformátory has sent a heavy transformer on a trip to Germany. The journey was not without complications. The transformer had to return to Plzeň once for repairs. In the end, however, everything was successful and the transformer could be sent to its destination.

We bring you exclusive photos from the departure of this giant set from the premises of ETD Transformátory. For such long and heavy rigs, exiting the gate is very complicated. The parameters of the rig are impressive: length 38.45 m, width 3 m, height 4.47 m and weight 172 tons. The convoy was accompanied by the police all the way, in addition to the escort vehicles.
