Changes to the Road Act (from 1 March 2024)

Changes in road permits in the Czech Republic:

• Shortening the validity of a single permit:
  • From 30 to 10 calendar days
• New validity of permanent permits:
  • 1 year for dimensions:
    • Length: 22 metres
    • Width: 3.2 metres
    • Height: 4.5 metres
    • Weight: up to 48 tonnes or up to 60 tonnes

Another amendment to the law will come into force on 1 May 2024. It will change the size of annual permits for:

• Length: 30 metres
• Width: 3.5 metres
• Height: 4.5 metres
• Weight: up to 48 tonnes or up to 60 tonnes
